Surrounded by loved ones, Phillip ‘Flip’ John Molleson peacefully left this world on Monday, February 23rd. Born in Hayward, CA, Flip graduated from James Logan High before proudly serving in the US Army during Vietnam. Shortly after returning, Flip met the love of his life, Pamela Wiggins. Flip and Pam married in August 1976 and had three amazing children: Timothy, Brian, and Rebecca. The family relocated from Manteca, CA to Carson City, NV in 1989 and quickly settled in.
An avid sports fan, Flip loved the Raiders, San Francisco Giants, and traveling to watch games everywhere. He also coached bowling teams and was a fixture at Centennial Field during softball season, where many players referred to him as ‘Dado’ while he base-coached. He truly enjoyed camping and cruising with friends and family. Flip worked in manufacturing, eventually transitioning to maintenance, and retired from the Carson City School District in 2020.
He was preceded in death by Shirley ‘Mam’ Molleson and John Stotyn.
He is survived by his spouse of nearly 50 years, Pamela Molleson (nee: Wiggins), his Son Timothy Molleson, his Son Brian Molleson (w. Natalie Molleson), and his Daughter Rebecca Molleson (h. Michael Snowhill), all of Carson City, NV. His sister, Linda Mishoe (h. Mike Mishoe) of Orland, CA.
