Six months after the doomed Kinkead building was finally demolished, the promised park featuring two grassy sections, a few shade trees, picnic tables, and desert landscaping in its old spot at 505 East King Street is complete.

The demolished state building was the home to six-floors of government office space from 1975 until it was condemned in 2005. The demolition began on Oct. 16 2017, and the building came down completely on Dec. 14th 2017.
