The Nevada Division of Child and Family Services and Common Ground Church celebrated good in the community late this summer with a Caregiver Appreciation Party at Johnson Lane Park in Minden.

The party, which ran from 1 to 3 p.m., included food, games, raffles and a children’s bounce house.

Nevada Division of Child and Family Services is the sole foster home licensing agency in Nevada’s 15 rural counties; its caregivers provide important care for 400 youth and children in foster care.

Common Ground, like the division, is committed to serving and supporting people who need it locally and beyond, through volunteering, charitable donations, or a helping hand.
