Carson City Fire Department, sheriff’s deputies and Nevada Highway Patrol troopers were called Monday afternoon to a vehicle fire in the southbound lane of I-580 north of the overpass near Fairview.
Multiple 911 calls came into dispatch just after 2:40 p.m. reporting flames coming from a vehicle. Carson City Fire Department personnel on scene report a fully-engulfed vehicle. It was quickly extinguished.
All occupants were out of the vehicle, according to first responders.
The cause of the fire has not been determined. Motorists can expect delays.
