Carson Tahoe Health invites the community to experience its upcoming Robotics Showcase — an interactive educational event designed to spark interest in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). The event will take place Tuesday, May 20, from 4 to 6:30 p.m. on the second floor of Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center.

Attendees of all ages will enjoy live demonstrations, hands-on activities, and a behind-the-scenes look at cutting-edge medical technology. Guests will have the exciting opportunity to “test drive” Carson Tahoe’s new Intuitive da Vinci 5 surgical robot, guided by Carson Tahoe surgeons who will demonstrate how the system is used in real-world surgical procedures.

The event also celebrates the finale of the “Name Our Robot” competition, which encouraged local grade school students to creatively name the hospital’s newest robotic surgical system. The winning name will be revealed during the showcase, and the student who submitted the winning entry will be awarded an iPad Pro, courtesy of CDW.

This free event is open to children, families, educators, and community members. Media are invited to attend early for interviews starting at 3:30 PM.
