Nevada Health Centers Mobile Medical Unit will make stops this week in Dayton, Silver Springs and Carson City.
The Mobile Medical Services Unit removes barriers to care by visiting neighborhoods and offering a full schedule of primary care appointments.
Dr. Carol Alley leads the mobile staff to deliver medical care to both children and adults.
“We offer the same services offered at a traditional brick and mortar doctor’s office. It’s basically a family practice on wheels. It has two exam rooms and a small laboratory,” said Nevada Health Centers spokeswoman Carrie Tallman.
Visits this week:
— On Wednesday, March 19, mobile staff will be at 60 Second Street in Dayton from 9:20 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
— On Thursday, March 20, the mobile services unit will be at Silver Springs Food Pantry, 1290 Lahontan St., from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
— The mobile unit will conclude this week’s northern Nevada stops in Carson City at Sierra Nevada Health Center, 3325 Research Way from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The mobile unit provides full examinations, well-child/adolescent care, sick visits and acute care, immunizations, prescriptions for medications, and lab testing (established patients only).
