Authorities arrested a Reno man and a Carson City woman Friday for felony suspicion of drug trafficking and possession after packaging and drugs were recovered during a search, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
Derrick Kindle, 35, of Reno was arrested at 6:51 p.m. in the area of North Nevada and West Washington streets on felony suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, possession for sales, misdemeanor open container and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Delphine Ann-Marie Martin of Carson City was also taken into custody on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, possession for sale and misdemeanor driving without a valid driver’s license.
According to the arrest report, deputies made a traffic stop after a computer check showed the female driver didn’t have a valid license. The occupants of the vehicle were detained and Kindle gave an officer a methamphetamine pipe.
An exterior sniff of the vehicle by a K9 alerted to drugs in the vehicle. Inside officers located a pill bottle and several bags used for packaging controlled substances.
Inside a small black vial officers found a clear crystal substance, and in another small black container there were several bags packaged individually that appeared to be pre-packed and weighed. Bail for Kindle: $8,829; bail for Martin, $7,692.
In other arrests:
— A 24-year-old Kings Beach, Calif., Ryan Boeddeker, man was booked Saturday, 12:26 a.m. in the Deer Run bridge area on felony suspicion of possession of a controlled substance. Also arrested was a 22-year-old Incline Village man, Dylan Ruiz, on suspicion of being in violation of parole and probation.
According to the arrest report, a computer records check showed Ruiz was on parole and probation with a no alcohol or drug clause. A K9 sniff of the vehicle was made as part of Ruiz parole and probation conditions.
Boeddeker informed deputies that he had concentrated THC in a vape pen in the backpack on the passenger side. He said he did not want Ruiz to be in trouble for what he had, the arrest report states.
The vape pen was recovered and Boeddeker was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. While checking the vehicle there was a case of beer found. Parole and Probation was notified and they requested Ruiz be arrested for parole and probation violation for violation of a no alcohol clause. Bail for Boeddeker, $2,500. Ruiz bail is on hold in lieu of a parole and probation hearing.
— A 32-year-old man, Rafael Oseguera-Mendez, was arrested Saturday, 10:17 p.m. in the 1800 block of Nichols Drive on felony and misdemeanor bench warrants issued Sept. 7, 2016 out of Carson City Justice Court. He’s being held without bail in lieu of a hearing.
— A 29-year-old Carson City man, Logan Daniel Anderson, was arrested Friday, 7:50 a.m. on a felony warrant, parole and probation violation. He’s being held without bail in lieu of a hearing.
A 29-year-old Carson City man was arrested Saturday, 1:39 a.m. in the 500 block of East William Street on misdemeanor suspicion of DUI, lighted lamps required, open container and violation of a suspended sentence.
According to the arrest report an officer patrolling observe a vehicle that didn’t have a working front passenger side head light. The officer made a traffic stop. The driver denied to have been drinking, though he had red watery eyes and had an odor of alcohol emitting from his breath.
A check through dispatch showed he had a confirmed misdemeanor warrant for probation violation and he was arrested. At jail he participated in field sobriety tests and showed signs of impairment. On the preliminary breath test he blew a .184. During the evidentiary portion he provided breath samples of .163 and .151. Bail: $4,396.
— A 24-year-old Carson City man was arrested Saturday, 1:41 a.m. for gross misdemeanor suspicion of a dangerous drug without a prescription, possession of drug paraphernalia, and a misdemeanor criminal contempt warrant.
According to the arrest report, a deputy observed a man walking in the road on 9th Street. The officer asked why he was walking in the road. The man said he was playing Pokeman Go. The man’s identification was run through dispatch for wants and warrants and showed he had a misdemeanor warrant through Reno Township Justice Court. He was advised of the warrant and placed into custody. During a search the deputy found a pipe with marijuana residue and four Diazepam pills without a prescription. Bail: $4,383.
— A 29-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Saturday, 12:21 a.m. in the 1100 block of East William Street on a misdemeanor failure to appear warrant out of Lyon County. Bail: $22,105.
— A 50-year-old Reno woman was arrested Friday, 11:52 p.m. in the 600 block of Carrie Street for misdemeanor suspicion of violation of alternative sentencing. She had been arguing with her boyfriend. Dispatch advised she had a “no contact” order to stay away from her boyfriend. Bail: $3,000.
— 62-year-old Carson City man was arrested Friday, 11:18 p.m. in the area of Silver Sage and Pat Street on suspicion of DUI and suspended registration. Deputies made a traffic stop on a vehicle in which the plates came back as suspended. The officer met with the man and suspected he had been under the influence. He participated in field sobriety tests, failed all tests and was arrested. He agreed to have a blood draw. Bail: $1,489.
— A 22-year-old Carson City man was arrested Friday, 6:06 p.m. in the area of Lone Mountain and Winnie streets on a misdemeanor failure to appear warrant issued out of Douglas County, possession of paraphernalia and speeding. Bail: $4,229.
— A 27-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Friday, 11:56 a.m. in the 2100 block of William Street on a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant. Bail: $10,000.
— A 30-year-old Ukiah, Calif., man, Farland Thomas Hoaglin, was booked into jail Friday, 9:30 a.m. on two felony warrant for burglary issued Jan. 26, 2016 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $15,000.
