The annual Silver Dollar Classic Car Show kicked off Thursday and continued Friday night at The Max Casino on S. Carson Street.
Friday night’s show featured a few dozen classic cars and hot rods, a street dance, as well as live music from The Route 66 Band, which played classic rock-n-roll from the era of the 1950s and 1960s.
The event continues Saturday and Sunday at Mills Park, where more than 400 automobiles will be on display.
There’s a pancake breakfast sponsored by the Kiwanis Club both mornings. The show-n-shine begins at 8 a.m. and runs until 4 p.m. each day.
There will be vendors, hot rods, and live music all weekend in Mills Park.
Sunday features a barbecue lunch starting at 11 a.m., followed by the Best in Show awards ceremony at 1 p.m.
