The Wyndham Garden Hotel, part of the Max Casino on South Carson Street, will be holding a job fair on Saturday, April 16, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
According to Wyndham Sales Manager Stu Wexler, the job fair will focus on hiring mostly for the Black Bear Diner. But the event will be for all positions, including the hotel, Wexler said in a press release.
The Black Bear Diner, which is replacing the old Max Cafe inside the Max Casino and Wyndham Garden Hotel, is expecting to fill about 95 positions.
Overall the April job fair will feature about 100 positions between the hotel, the casino and the diner, Max Casino General Manager Lee Kennedy told Carson Now in a March 23 interview.
Once hired, new employees with undergo a two-week training period before being turned out on the floor, Kennedy had said.
This includes new employees of the Black Bear Diner, which is scheduled to be open around the first of May, Wexler said.
