UPDATE: There are now 76 NV customers in the Mound House area without power after a larger outage affected more than 300 customers. Power was restored to most of those affected at around 4 p.m.

Around 300 NV Energy customers in the Mound House area were without power Sunday afternoon, the second outage in four days for the community.
The outage was reported at 2:45 p.m. and extends in a central area of near Garnet Circle and Cash Drive, James Court, Kit Kat Drive and a portion of Highlands Drive from Highway 50 East. NV Energy says the outage is under investigation and hopes to have power restored by 5:30 p.m.
A similar outage happened Thursday night, also affecting a little more than 300 customers in the same area. Power was out for nearly four hours in that outage.
