A road rage incident involving two men late Tuesday morning in the area of Goni and Arrowhead resulted in multiple 22-caliber shots being fired at a truck. No one was hurt in the incident. Carson City sheriff’s deputies continued to look for the suspect vehicle Tuesday night.
Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong told KOLO that a pair of drivers began arguing with their vehicles next to each other. The driver of one of the vehicles, resembling a silver 1999-2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee, flashed the lights at an elderly man driving the other vehicle, which at that point was in front of him.
Gunshots were apparently fired from the driver of the vehicle resembling the Cherokee, hitting the truck driven by the elderly man. The shooter left the scene. Deputies began retrieving 22-caliber shell casings in the area. One of the bullets hit the radiator.
We will update this story as more information becomes available.
