Carson City Symphony’s “Strings in the Summer” Program to Begin July 10th
July 31 @ 10:00 am – 12:30 pm
Carson City Symphony Association’s “Strings in the Summer 2025” is a weekly program for string-instrument players of all ages and levels. Sessions for two experience levels meet on four Thursdays – July 10, 17, 24, and 31 – at the Carson City Senior Center, 911 Beverly Drive. Registration and tuition for both groups are free, donations welcome.
The early session meets from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. in the Tahoe room. It is for younger and less experienced violinists, violists, cellists, bassists, and guitarists of any age who are able to play a one-octave D major scale and read notes within the staff. More experienced players are welcome to join.
The later session meets from 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Joshua Tree room. It is for intermediate and above string players and Not Quite Ready for Carnegie Hall Players (NQR).
A public concert will be held on the last day, July 31. Sign up for one or both sessions at CCSymphony.com. For more information, contact Micah Dunn, at 775-741-6544 or email micahdunn@gmail.com.
Carson City Symphony Association’s educational programs are funded, in part, by grants from the Nevada Arts Council, a state agency, and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency; and by private donations.
