Ron Wood Family Resource Center receives a generous donation from Bently Nevada, a Baker Hughes business. Bently Nevada is committed to supporting families in crisis and children who have experienced abuse and neglect in the community and surrounding areas.
Michael Arthurs, senior engineering and technology manager at Bently Nevada, shared, “Employees from more than 60 cross-functional company divisions joined forces to bring joy and relief to families facing challenging times. They work hard to provide holiday cheer, and this initiative reflects our commitment to caring beyond the workplace.”
Bently Nevada is honored to partner with Ron Wood Family Resource Center this holiday season and sought to make a meaningful contribution that would positively impact local families. The donation will support the Center’s critical mission and reflects Bently Nevada’s dedication to giving back to the community and helping those in need.
“The holidays are difficult for most families — especially the families we serve,” said Scott Morgan, executive director of Ron Wood Family Resource Center. “Support from Bently Nevada allows us to make a real difference in the lives of those affected by abuse and neglect. Thanks to the generosity of Bently Nevada and our community partners, including the Campagni Auto Group, we can meet these challenges together. Every donation — large or small — makes a real difference.”
Growing Need in Northern Nevada
The demand for assistance continues to rise. In 2024 alone, the Center:
- Assisted 55,388 individuals with basic needs
- Supported 156 Nevada foster youth
- Helped 656 children living in abusive or neglectful environments
Most services are provided free of charge, and every contribution helps sustain programs that bring comfort, dignity, and hope to families who have fallen through society’s safety net.
How Donations Make a Difference
- $25 provides food for a struggling family
- $200 funds pest control for a child living in unsafe conditions
- $500 helps a foster youth obtain a driver’s license to pursue work or education
- $1,000+ provides a bed and bedding for a child who currently sleeps without them
- Urgent Need: A $78,000 utility van to ensure food pickups and center operations continue without interruption
