UPDATE 9:19PM: One man was treated for smoke inhalation at the scene of a house fire Monday night in the 1500 block of North Division. Two dogs were inside the home when the fire started. One dog escaped and another suffered smoke inhalation and was treated at the scene by firefighters, said Carson City Fire Chief Stacey Giomi.
The dog was not in good shape when firefighters found him but emergency crews were able to help the dog breathe, said Giomi. The dog is now recovering under the supervision of animal services and should survive.
The home had significant smoke damage and is not habitable at this time. Fire damage was confined to the living room area, said Chief Giomi. Red Cross was called to the scene to help the single occupant of the home.

UPDATE: Carson City Animal Services was called to the scene of the structure fire on North Division for an injured dog. Red Cross has also been asked to respond.

Carson City firefighters were called to a structure fire tonight in the 1500 block of North Division Street. At least one person was reportedly injured and suffering from smoke inhalation.
