Reno-Tahoe International Airport is gearing up for a busy holiday travel period, with the busiest travel days happening this Sunday and Monday and again Dec. 27 and Dec. 29.

Airport officials project an eight percent increase in flights and a three percent boost in available seats compared to last year. Travelers are encouraged to plan ahead.

To keep holiday cheer high and stress low, the airport reminds passengers to allow extra time for parking and navigating the terminal during peak times.

For information on parking availability, travel tips and flight schedules, see renoairport.com.

Allow Extra Time: Parking will be in high demand. Overflow parking may add time to your trip, so plan ahead.

Check Parking Availability: Visit the airport’s website to check real-time parking updates before heading out.

Leave Gifts Unwrapped: TSA may need to inspect those perfectly wrapped gifts, so pack them unwrapped or bring wrapping supplies to finish up at your destination.

Consider a Ride: Skip parking altogether by arranging a ride with a friend or rideshare service.

Drop & Go: Save time by dropping off passengers with luggage curbside before parking inoverflow lots.

Wait & Win Giveaway: Picking up passengers? Park in the Free Waiting Lot, just 4 minutes fromthe terminal, scan the QR code on the signage and enter for a chance to win flights while reducing curbside congestion.
