Ideas On Tap, a monthly community event focusing on improved discourse through topic discussion, has its first meeting of the new year on Wednesday, Jan. 2 at The Union Eatery-Taphouse-Coffee, 302 N. Carson Street in Carson City.
Held the first Wednesday of each month from 6-7:30 p.m., the topic for this discussion is “Public Trust in the Media and the Importance of Journalism to our Democracy.”
February’s discussion, scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 6 at The Union, is “Brain Drain.”
Discussions are free to attend, moderator Michael Smith said, but food and refreshments are the responsibility of participants.
