A 36-year-old Sparks man was arrested Saturday, 2:20 a.m. in the area of South Carson and South Stewart streets for misdemeanor suspicion of DUI and basic speeding, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

According to the arrest report, a deputy made a traffic stop on a vehicle going 38 in a 25 mph zone. The officer spoke with the driver who admitted to drinking two to three beers within the past hour.

The man agreed to standardized field sobriety tests and showed signs of impairment. He blew a .139 preliminary breath test, according to the arrest report. Bail: $1,249.

— A 34-year-old Fernley man was booked into Carson City Jail on Saturday, 5:30 a.m. for a misdemeanor failure to appear warrant out of Lyon County. Bail: $1,000.

— A 54-year-old Carson City man was arrested Friday, 5:05 p.m. in the 400 block of Corbet Street for a misdemeanor battery warrant issued Oct. 10, 2016. Bail: $500.

— A 21-year-old Carson City man was arrested Friday, 9:42 p.m. in the area of 20 College Parkway for misdemeanor suspicion of obstructing a police officer. According to the arrest report, a deputy was called to a residence to investigate a possible domestic battery. The man, who was standing outside the residents in only a pair of pants, without a shirt or shoes in 25 degree weather, was contacted by the deputy.

The man was asked what happened. He told the officer he got into an argument with his girlfriend. He showed signs of intoxication. He was asked for his identification and the man allowed the officer into the apartment while he went to look for it. The man would not comply with the deputy and would not sit down when asked multiple times. He yelled at the officer multiple times. The man grew agitated and angry and made a aggressive motion with his hands before he was placed into handcuffs. A sergeant arrived on scene and the man was arrested for obstructing. Bail: $412.

— A 34-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Friday, 8:34 p.m. in the 900 block of Woodside Drive for three counts suspicion of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. According to the arrest report, the woman supplied three juvenile girls tall cans of Loko. Bail: $1,191.
