A 66-year-old Dayton man, who had been arrested over the weekend for suspicion of a third DUI, was arrested again Monday for felony suspicion of a fourth DUI after a traffic stop, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

Richard Lee Chada was taken into custody at 4:26 p.m. in the 1600 block of Airport Road. He also faces a charge of violation of bail conditions. According to the arrest report, a deputy was dispatched to the area of Highway 50 for a report of a possible DUI driver. Dispatch advised the suspect driver got off the freeway and was east on Highway 50 and then south on Airport Road when he pulled into the car wash in the 1600 block of Airport Road.

The arresting deputy observed Chada open the driver side door and attempted to throw a can of beer underneath his vehicle. The man then attempted to get out of the car and nearly fell to the ground, the arrest report states.

He showed signs of intoxication and possible narcotic intoxication. He performed a series of sobriety tests showing signs of intoxication and was arrested and charged with DUI drugs, a fourth offense.

While being taken to jail, Chada told the deputy that he has a problem with prescription narcotics and went to Reno that day in an attempt to purchase methamphetamine but was not successful. He also advised he was arrested for his third DUI on Saturday, and was recently released from jail, the arrest report states. Bail: $23,000.

In other arrests:
— A 33-year-old Carson City man was arrested Monday, 8:23 a.m. in the area of Winnie Lane and Lone Mountain for gross misdemeanor suspicion of possessing a dangerous weapon, metal knuckles, and two misdemeanor contempt of court warrants. Bail: $5,000.

— A 31-year-old Carson City man, Paul John Bekakis, was arrested Tuesday, 1:15 p.m. in the area of North Roop and East Adams streets for a probation and parole violation warrant. A 21-year-old man with him was booked on misdemeanor charges for probation violation and possession of drug paraphernalia. He had a spoon and three empty hypodermic devices in his pocket. Bekakis was being held without bail in lieu of a hearing. Bail for the 21-year-old man with him, $4,137.

— A 26-year-old Carson City man was arrested Tuesday, 1:45 a.m. in the 4600 block of South Carson Street for a misdemeanor failure to appear traffic warrant. Bail: $890.

— A 26-year-old Carson City man was arrested Tuesday, 2:30 a.m. in the 1200 block of Woodside Drive for a misdemeanor warrant, violation of an extended protection order. Bail: $3,000.
