Carson City Elks Lodge No. 2177 held a raffle drawing recently for a wooden American Flag. Proceeds from the raffle benefitted Holiday With a Hero, which is a local program that buys gifts for children and delivered by our first responders.
David Phillips won the raffle and the hand carved flag made by Uli Morgan’s son. With $500 collected from the raffle, along with an ENF Grant of $2,500, the money generated will help fund Christmas gifts for 30 local under privileged school children in the Carson City community.
