Carson City Sheriff Kenny Furlong said his deputies are continuing to follow leads in the attempted abduction of a Carson High School girl on Monday.

Furlong said citizens have called in several tips, including one very promising lead that didn’t pan out.

The incident took place near the high school at Robinson and Telegraph at 2:52 p.m. on Monday. The vehicle was described as an older two-door yellow sedan with faded paint on the hood area and a possible fabric top. It had two front square headlights with the driver’s side headlight either tinted or faded and black newer leather interior. The driver was described to be wearing a dark brown colored sweatshirt with writing on the right sleeve area.

Anyone who has information about this incident can contact Detective Sal Acosta at the Carson City Sheriff’s Office at (775) 283-7855, or call dispatch at (775) 887-2008.
