Linda Buchanan, Catmandu

Ellie Mae is as sweet and friendly as she is pretty. This beautiful medium hair ginger and white domestic kitty is about 8 months old. She is a little shy at first but once she feels comfortable, she will sleep by your side and keep you warm on these cold winter nights.

Ellie Mae was abandoned as a kitty, was cared for by some people but unfortunately, they could not keep her so they advertised her as a “free cat” on Craigslist. Luckily, a Catmandu volunteer picked her up and fostered her until a spot came available at Catmandu.

Ellie loves attention and will talk to you while you pet her. She likes to play with laser dots and will even walk on a leash with a harness. Ellie will make a delightful companion for someone willing to be patient and give her a few weeks to bond with them and feel comfortable in her new surroundings. We believe she is well worth the effort and deserves a loving home.
Ellie is fixed, up to date on her shots and litter box trained. She gets along fine with the cats at Catmandu but because she loves attention, she would likely thrive as an only cat.

If you would like to meet Ellie Mae or any of the many kitties at Catmandu, please visit us at 1829 Brown Street from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday through Sunday.

Catmandu is a local nonprofit no kill cat rescue and sanctuary. Currently we have over 80 cats waiting for homes. If you have room in your heart and home for one of our sweet kitties, please consider adoption, or if you would like to help by volunteering or by making a much-needed donation, please go to: https://catmanducc.org. We appreciate your helping us continue to care for Carson City’s orphaned, homeless, and abandoned kitties. Meow means thank you.
