Happy Thanksgiving from our staff, volunteers and all 70+ resident kitties at Catmandu. We are very grateful for the support we’ve received from so many of you in our community. Thank you.

Our cat of the week is a big, sweet ginger boy who will be very thankful to find a loving forever home.  Garfield is one of 3 nearly identical young short-haired orange tabbies that came to Catmandu last week. He is the biggest and most outgoing of the three. Sweet, social and friendly, he is usually the first to come out and meet new people.

Garfield has a very loud purr and loves to be petted. While he enjoys playing, he is well-mannered and past the wild kitten stage.

About 9 months old, he gets along fine with other cats and children that are school age or older. He’s never been around a dog, but would likely be fine with a cat-friendly dog who wants to be buddies. Garfield would love to be adopted with one or more of his brothers, but should be okay if he goes to a home of his very own.

Garfield and his brothers became homeless when their owner was no longer able to emotionally or financially care for them. Once at Catmandu, they were neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. They are indoor only cats that would bring love and joy to any family.

If you would like to meet this special furball and possibly take him home, please complete a pre-adoption application on our website at CatmanduCC.org/adoptions and plan to visit this weekend at Catmandu, 1829 Brown Street. Potential adopters are welcome Friday through Sunday from 11am to 4 pm. Plan to arrive no later than 3 pm so you have plenty of time to spend with the boys before adoptions close.

Giving Tuesday is Dec. 3.  Your support of Catmandu would be greatly appreciated.  Donations will help us continue our work with homeless and abandoned cats in our community.  We are a cage-free cat sanctuary and rescue. We provide food, shelter, spay/neuter, medical care and adoption services for our kitties.

Since March of 2014, more than 2700 cats have passed through our doors and into a better life. Many, many other cats and kittens have been helped over the years through our various programs and efforts.

Catmandu is a non-profit organization that receives no government funding or assistance from national organizations. We rely on donations and the generosity of the community to continue our lifesaving efforts. If you are interested in donating or volunteering, please visit our website at CatmanduCC.org. Meow means thank you.
