Meet Bynx, our big, handsome, long-haired black beauty who has completely captured our hearts here at Catmandu.
At 4-5 years old, this neutered male is the definition of cool, calm, and irresistibly charming.
Bynx is wonderfully sweet and friendly, with a purr so big it might register on the Richter scale. He is a great lap cat and enjoys pets and attention. Talk to him, and he’ll meow right back—he’s always up for a chat.
At bedtime, he becomes a world-class snuggler, curling up with you like he’s been your best friend forever. He’s incredibly well-behaved, affectionate, and truly just the most lovable guy.
When Bynx is extra happy, he drools a tiny bit and his tail quivers with delight. (We promise—he’s not spraying, just vibrating with joy!) He’s also playful. Toss a blanket over him and ask “Where’s Bynx?” He will happily swat at your tapping fingers from underneath. It’s impossible not to smile.
Bynx is up to date on his vaccines, microchipped, and has excellent litter box manners. He’s a grazer when it comes to meals, and he loves little bites of shrimp as a treat.
He arrived with another long-haired sweetheart, Paisley. They’re a lovely pair and would be delighted to be adopted together, but Bynx could also adjust well to life as a solo cat. He seems comfortable around other friendly cats, but he has never lived with a dog.
This wonderful boy was tearfully surrendered when his owner developed severe allergies that didn’t respond to treatment—an incredibly hard decision made out of love for him.
If you’re looking for an affectionate, mellow, interactive companion with a heart as big as his purr, Bynx might just be your perfect match. Come meet him and see why we’re all so smitten! We are open Friday – Sunday from 11am to 4 pm at 1829 Brown Street. Please arrive early if you plan to adopt.
