UPDATE 2:03PM: A mechanical issue is likely to blame for a presence of light smoke inside a Carson Tahoe Hospital care facility on North Minnesota Street, according to Carson City Fire Department Battalion Chief Dan Shirey. All those evacuated are now allowed back into the facility.

Carson City Fire Department was called Sunday afternoon to a report of smoke coming out of one of the Carson Tahoe care facilities on North Minnesota Street.

The call came into dispatch at around 1:37 p.m. regarding smoke coming from the ceiling of the Behavior Health building. Arriving firefighters report nothing visible showing from the exterior of the building but some light smoke coming from inside the building.

Evacuations are in progress. Check back for updates.
