UPDATE 3:25PM: NV Energy reports that all power has been restored as of 3:20 p.m. Thursday afternoon in East Carson City. At one time, nearly 1,100 customers were without power.

UPDATE: As of 3 p.m. Thursday, 677 NV Energy customers were still without power in the east Carson City area, according to NV Energy.

Nearly 1,100 NV Energy customers were without power Thursday afternoon in east Carson City. The outage happened just before 2 p.m. and is affecting neighbors in the Gordon, Woodside, Park Terrace and Fairview areas. NV Energy says power is estimated to be restored by 4:45 p.m.
The cause of the outage is under investigation. Check back for updates.
