Carson Montessori Charter School held a Veterans Day assembly this Friday, bringing together students, staff, families, and more than twenty honored veterans.

The ceremony began with a flag presentation, followed by a rendition of the National Anthem sung by 3rd grade student Landon Vlach.

Students from all grades took part in the celebration. The first graders performed “You’re a Grand Old Flag,” while the fifth and sixth graders sang “America the Beautiful.”

Each veteran in attendance was recognized by name and service, and presented with a red, white, or blue flower from Carson City Florist.

The assembly served as a reminder of the sacrifices made by those who serve and the importance of teaching the next generation to honor them.
