Michael Hohl Chevrolet and Reno Corvettes Club help collect nearly $9,700 in pet food and supplies for local families in need

The Carson City community came together once again to support pets and families in need, donating 2,551 pounds of pet food and supplies valued at $9,691 during the annual Fill a Vehicle drive at Michael Hohl Chevrolet. Generous community support filled one truck completely, with additional donations spilling over into a second.

The monthlong October campaign, benefiting Feeding Pets of the Homeless, invited residents to fill a showroom truck with dog and cat food and essential pet supplies. Donations will be distributed through FISH (Friends in Service Helping) to local individuals and families in need, including those experiencing homelessness, helping them care for their beloved pets.

More than 2,550 pounds of donated pet food and supplies are ready for distribution through FISH following the annual Fill a Vehicle drive at Michael Hohl Chevrolet in Carson City, Nev.

The Reno Corvettes Club also supported the campaign through its annual Show N Shine on Oct. 3, bringing car enthusiasts and community members together to collect pet food and supplies.

“Year after year, Michael Hohl, the Reno Corvettes Club and our generous community continue to show up for pets in need,” said Genevieve Frederick, founder and president of Feeding Pets of the Homeless. “These donations will help local families facing difficult circumstances provide for their pets. We are incredibly grateful for everyone’s continued support.”

What began more than a decade ago at Michael Hohl has become a Carson City tradition, bringing businesses, car enthusiasts and neighbors together to help keep pets fed and families together.

Feeding Pets of the Homeless extends its thanks to Michael Hohl Chevrolet, the Reno Corvettes Club and everyone who contributed to this year’s drive.
