Two men were stabbed early Monday morning in separate locations but the cases are related, a Carson City Sheriff’s Office lieutenant said.
The victims did not suffer life threatening injuries, said Lt. Brian Humphrey. Detectives are actively using the information they have to pursue the suspect.
The first incident happened at around midnight at America’s Best Value Inn, located in the 2700 block of South Carson Street. The victim, a male in his 50s, had stab wounds to the arm, chest, shoulders and back. A medical helicopter was called, but due to the weather, the victim was taken by ground ambulance to the trauma ward at Renown Medical Center in Reno.
Then at around 1:30 a.m. a second man was stabbed in the parking lot area of Save Mart in the 3300 block of Highway 50 East. The victim had similar wounds and was also taken by ground ambulance to Renown, said Humphrey.
Both stabbings are related and the case remains under investigation, said Humphrey. Anyone with information is asked to contact Carson City Sheriff’s Office Detective Sam Hatley at 775-283-7852.
