Carson City Fire Department and sheriff’s deputies were called Monday afternoon to a structure fire in the 3100 block of Gordonia Drive.
The call came into dispatch at around 2:35 p.m. of a fire inside a bedroom. Residents inside the single family residence were told to evacuate.
Firefighters arrived on scene and quickly knocked down the fire at 2:42 p.m.
Traffic is being rerouted around the residence. Motorists are advised to stay clear of fire trucks. The cause is under investigation.
