Can owners of dogs please attempt to understand one thing: Dogs off leash allowed UNDER CONTROL OF THE OWNER!
Living across from Steinheimer Park in Carson City and I am not able to walk my dog without unleashed dogs attacking him.
This has happened twice in the last week. I walked out of my open garage when two dogs off leash ran out of the park, across the street directly at me and my leashed dog.
I had to run my dog back into the garage and throw him in the backyard with both dogs chasing him all the way into my garage.
The owners response was immediate excuses: “This is not my dog, I’m babysitting and Hank won’t hurt anyone,” “You walked back in your garage so I thought you were done.”
When I asked the lady to please get her dogs out of my garage and to keep them on the leash for THEIR safety, she tells me I need mental help!?
So to recap your dogs are off leash NOT under your control, leave the park, run across a city street chasing my leashed dog into my garage and I’m to blame??
When common sense and abject ignorance in human beings is causing harm to animals something needs to be said. Wake Up!
