Carson City Fire Department and sheriff’s deputies were called early Monday afternoon to the 1300 block of Turner Court for a structure fire at a residence.
Called into dispatch shortly before noon, the fire at the residence apparently started as a vehicle fire in the garage of the residence, according to first responders on scene.
The battalion chief upgraded the fire to a working incident. Occupants had evacuated by the time firefighters arrived. The fire was knocked down at 12:08 p.m. It is unknown at this time if the fire spread into the residence or remained confined to the garage.
