Carson City, Nev. (Sept. 24, 2025) — The Carson City School District is proud to recognize Centro Market as its September Community Partner of the Month. El Centro Market was recognized as an Ambassador Level partner for their ongoing commitment to supporting local schools and for their generous financial and in-kind contributions to enhance the educational and cultural experiences for students in Carson City.

Centro Market in Carson City offers a vibrant selection of fresh, high-quality groceries and specialty items, catering to a diverse range of tastes and culinary needs. The market features an extensive assortment of authentic Mexican and Latin American ingredients, from fresh produce and meats to spices, herbs and pantry staples. Find a variety of homemade tortillas, cheeses, salsas and freshly baked goods, alongside a selection of traditional canned goods and beverages. Centro Market is also known for its friendly, helpful service, providing a warm, welcoming shopping experience for those looking to explore new flavors or stock up on beloved favorites.

As part of its Community Partner Program, the school district features a local business or organization each month for their commitment to helping schools and children have better opportunities and experiences in alignment with the district’s Strategic Plan goals.

Centro Market is considered a Community Partner at the Ambassador Level because they support two Strategic Plan goals regularly, including providing food for teachers and employees for staff appreciation luncheons (Goal 1) and supporting parent and family engagement events such as the Fall Festival and STEM Fiesta (Goal 3).

The Community Partner Recognition System aims to build a stronger, more engaged community dedicated to the success and well-being of its students. Additionally, it acknowledges and celebrates the valuable contributions of our community partners as they align with the goals found in the Carson City School District Strategic Plan, Empower Carson City 2027.

  • Goal 1: Exceptional Staff
  • Goal 2: Curriculum that Matters
  • Goal 3: Engaged Parents and Families
  • Goal 4: Healthy Generations of Carson Students
  • Goal 5: Community in Full Partnership

The school district looks forward to continuing this valuable partnership and encourages other community members and businesses to consider how they can contribute to the success of students.
