The Sierra Nevada Forums, in partnership with the AAUW Capital Branch and League of Women Voters of Northern Nevada will host “The Economy at the Ballot Box: How Economic Perceptions Shape Our Vote” a free panel discussion on Tuesday, Sept. 8 at the Brewery Arts Center Performance Hall, 511 W King St in Carson City. Doors open at 5:30 pm and the program starts at 6 pm. The Nevada Appeal and KUNR public radio are the media co-sponsors.

The forum will be moderated by Tabitha Mueller, Capital Bureau Chief at The Nevada Independent. Panelists include Elliot Parker, Ph.D., Professor and Chair of Economics at the College of Business at UNR; Jeremy Gelman, Ph.D, Associate Professor of Political Science at UNR; and Eric Neugeboren, Politics and Data Reporter at The Nevada Independent.
In preparation for Nevada’s November election, this interactive panel will cover what voters need to know about economic policies and will provide an update on Nevada’s economy. Time is reserved for written questions from the audience. No large bags or video recordings at the event please.
