The Levitt AMP Carson City Music Series will wrap up its 2026 season Saturday with Northern California band Mumbo Gumbo performing at the Brewery Arts Center.
The free outdoor concert is scheduled from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Aug. 29 at the Brewery Arts Center campus, 449 W. King St. The Kilowatt Hours will open the show, followed by Mumbo Gumbo.
Saturday’s concert is the 10th and final show in this summer’s Levitt AMP series, which marked its 10th anniversary in Carson City this year. The Brewery Arts Center has received matching support from the Levitt Foundation for the concert series since 2016, bringing 10 free, family-friendly performances to Carson City each season.
For the anniversary season, organizers brought back a number of performers who had appeared in previous years. The 2026 lineup began June 20 with Red Elvises and included Sambadá, Indigenous, The Vindys, The Sam Chase, Van Goat, Jakota Wass, Jelly Bread and the Young Dubliners before Saturday’s finale. Mumbo Gumbo previously performed in the Carson City series in 2016 and 2021.
Mumbo Gumbo has performed for more than three decades and released nine albums of original music. The group draws from a range of styles including rock, soul, Afro-pop, zydeco and country, with influences from Gulf Coast music.
The Kilowatt Hours will serve as Saturday’s opening act. The music begins at 7 p.m., with the headlining performance scheduled to begin at about 8 p.m.
Admission is free and the event is open to all ages. Attendees may bring lawn chairs and coolers, and well-behaved dogs are permitted on leashes. Food trucks, bars and children’s activities are also planned. Accessible parking is available.
The concert will take place outside the Brewery Arts Center at the corner of King and Minnesota streets in Carson City.
