The man accused of killing a Silver Springs woman has been found guilty of first-degree murder by a Yerington jury, according to News 4 reports.
Ryan Coddington was convicted in the death of Alea Clark, 32, who was reported missing on Jan. 9, 2015. Her remains were found at Lahontan State Recreation Area Feb. 3, 2015.
Coddington was arrested in the case on a solicitation to commit murder charge, along with his alleged accomplice Melanie Patellaro.
They were booked on the charges after an investigation involving the Nevada Department of Public Safety, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.
In May 2015, Coddington attempted to escape the Lyon County Jail and injured two deputies. Coddington is currently housed in the Lyon County detention facility’s maximum housing unit.
