Fun for a good cause has drawn families from across the region to Mills Park in Carson City Saturday for the inaugural Northern Nevada Family Fun Day, organized by Faith Hope Love of Northern Nevada.

Visitors to the event are enjoying live music, a diverse food menu from which to choose, dozens of product and service vendors, and a host of family-friendly activities designed to bring back the spirit of wholesome community fun.

Overall proceeds from the festival go to Faith Hope Love of Northern Nevada, a charitable community of families that provide relief to the homeless and needy families throughout the region.

However, many individual vendors are also raising funds to benefit their own charitable causes.

Among them are the Pirates of Reno, Bikers Against Child Abuse, and United Blood Services, whose blood mobile is currently taking in donations.

Attendance at the Northern Nevada Family Fun Day is free. Only the individual activities have costs.

There is still time to enjoy the day’s festivities at Mills Park. The fun continues there until 9 p.m. tonight.
