While many Third and Curry Farmer’s Market shoppers were still waking up to a crisp Saturday morning in Carson City, a young Mule deer family was feasting on the bounty of apples that had fallen from a tree along N. Ormsby Blvd.

The Third and Curry Farmer’s Market, which operates throughout the summer season in downtown Carson City, opens at 8:30 a.m. Saturdays and runs until 1 p.m. The market continues weekly through Sept. 29.

This weekend would be a good one to spend outdoors in Carson City with daytime highs reaching only into the mid-80s, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Reno.

Overnight lows are forecast to be right around 50 degrees.
