Carson City Sheriff’s deputies responded Saturday night to a report of a strong-armed robbery that allegedly occurred at the 7-11 convenience store on North Carson Street around 8:40 p.m.
The call to Carson City Dispatch came in about 8:45 p.m. Saturday night that a man had robbed a woman of her cell phone outside of the the 7-11 convenience store located at the corner of College Parkway and North Carson Street.
According to the reporting party (RP), the man had confronted a female victim outside of the store, thinking she had owed him money and took her phone from her.
The suspect then fled in a white Toyota SUV, possibly a compact model, east on College Parkway toward the Interstate 580 freeway.
Law enforcement is looking at Lyon County as a possible address for the registered owner of the suspect vehicle, the license plate number of which was provided by the RP at the scene.
