Joe is no stranger to Carson City. He was the headline comedian at the Carson Nugget when M1Gaming purchased the property 10 years ago. Then he came to Carson City and produced the comedy movie Casino Boss which was filmed exclusively at the Carson Nugget. You can watch Casino Boss on Youtube.
“Joe is the most talented performer that I have ever seen on stage,” says Dean DiLullo the owner of the Carson Nugget. “He will connect with the audience by telling stories about his time on Saturday Night Live (SNL), make you laugh with his witty humor and then add a little Frank Sinatra to every show.”
“I do not think there is a musical instrument that he cannot play.” DiLullo remembers watching Joe perform at the Hilton in Las Vegas. “He was doing a memorizing David Lettermen impersonation and then sat down at the drum set and played the most incredible drum solo ever. He then picked up a guitar and played it like Eddie Van Halen. The audience was completely blow away at his talent.”
Joe Piscopo will be performing in the Grand Showroom. The Grand Showroom has been called the room that Jimmy Failla built. Jimmy Failla has performed at the Carson Nugget several times. Each time he performed the crowd would grow exponentially so the Carson Nugget had to build the new Grand Showroom. The Grand Showroom has hosted other great comedians such as Kennedy, Jamie Lissow, Lisa Alvarado, Jimmy Shubert, Joe Machi, Aaron Berg, and so many more Celebrity Comedians.
When DiLullo was asked about the Carson Nugget Casino, he replied, “I am proud to be a part of this iconic property. This place is filled with great stories about huge jackpot winners and a rich history of celebrities performing at the Carson Nugget. There’s no other property that I can think of that has as much history than the Carson Nugget, which was established in 1954 by Dick Graves. It is modern with the newest slot products but holds on to the old school charm of the days of Sinatra, Dean Martin, and the Rat Pack. The Carson Nugget is known for being ‘Famous for Winners since 1954’ and is the home of the famous and original Awful Awful Burger.”
