A Red Flag warning has been issued by the National Weather Service ahead of a low pressure system moving into Northern Nevada and the eastern Sierra on Saturday which will cause gusty winds and low humidity.
The combination will make for critical fire conditions for Carson City and the surrounding areas, according to carsonweather.com and the weather service.
Sustained winds of beteen 20 to 25 mph with gusts over 30 mph are expected with the front, the weather services report. Humidity will be quite low, about 10 percent across Westeren Nevada and 15 to 18 percent in the Sierra.
The Red Flag warning will run from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday.
