The Adult Services staff at the Carson City Library extends a huge “THANK YOU” to the individuals and organizations who donated prizes to the Adult Summer Reading program, “Escape the Ordinary”.

During the eight week program, 55 participants read 92,731 pages. 27 logged at least 1,000 pages, the minimum number required to be eligible for the Grand Prize drawing, a trip for two on the V & T Railroad.
A number of events and films were held, including an appearance by author Jack Harpster, a performance by Celtic finger-style guitarist Jerry Barlow and a multi-media presentation by photo journalist Rick Gunn.
The 2015 adult summer reading program was a community-wide success!
