Central Lyon Fire responded Wednesday afternoon to a mobile home fire off of Fir Avenue in Silver Springs.
When firefighters arrived on scene at around 3:30 p.m., a battalion chief reported the fire occupied at least 50 percent of the structure and then became fully-engulfed.
Heavy smoke and flames were visible from the roadway. Carson City Fire Department responded as a mutual aid assist at the county line. A Central Lyon battalion chief reports the knock down of the fire was at 3:58 p.m. The structure was destroyed.
The cause is unknown at this time and is under investigation.
