The Carson City Parks, Recreation & Open Space Department and the Carson City Public Works Department are seeking public input from residents related to the usage of Electric Bicycles (e-bikes) and Other Electric Mobility Devices (OEMDs) on roadways, bike lanes, pathways and trails within Carson City.
To gather feedback, a community survey is available online at carsoncity.gov/trails.
The survey will be open through Sept. 7, 2026, and should take no more than ten minutes to complete. For those wanting an opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback in person, an Open House will be held on August 24, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., in the lobby of the Community Center located at 851 E William St., Carson City.
E-bikes and OEMDs (e-motos, OneWheels, e-scooters, and unclassified high-powered e-bikes) are rapidly growing in popularity within Carson City, as well as nationwide, and your feedback will help local leaders make informed decisions that may shape local policies, safety guidelines, and education.
Survey results will be posted on the Carson City website and will be presented at the joint meeting of the Parks and Recreation Commission and the Open Space Advisory Committee on Dec. 1 at 5:30 p.m. in the Bob Crowell Board Room at the Community Center.
