Devon A. Martin passed away unexpectedly at his home in Mound House, Nevada on July 4, 2026 at the age of 67.
He was born in Gardena, California where he attended elementary school until age 9 when his family moved to Reno, Nevada where he attended Grace Warner Elementary, Dilworth Middle School in Sparks, and graduated from Reed High School in 1977.
Devon is survived by his wife, Nancy, his daughter, Daley-Anne, sisters Lora and Terry, brother Jim Martin and nieces Angelina Barajas and Kari Huebner as well as several grandnieces and nephews.
Those who knew Devon know that he loved motorcycles and rode motocross for as many years as he could and continued riding his Harley every day. He got as much joy from tinkering with his bikes and his vintage Chevy pickup as driving them and could come up with a solution for just about every problem they threw his way, no matter how unconventional.
Devon was also a master taco maker and considered making them for friends and family an act of love. In that spirit, please join us in celebrating Devon’s life with tacos and stories of your experiences with him at Gold Dust West Carson City on Saturday, August 29th from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.
