Spooner Summit is blood alley. The intersection of State Route 28 and US-50 is a death trap. The simple solution is to build a Trumpet Interchange. Exactly like the Bellevue overpass at Washoe Lake. I-580 Exit 46.

There is ample land at 28 & 50 to build this structure. There will never be another accident at this location again once a new overpass in constructed.

Why our Highway Dept has not pursued this in the past is likely due to no one of importance has been involved in a vehicle wreck there so far. It usually takes someone of stature to be injured until something finally happens.
