Mangia Tutto opened up shop near downtown Carson City in July 2018, offering Chicago-style pizza, pasta and Italian cuisine.
However, the North Stewart Street storefront is now closed.
Mangia Tutto’s website and social media say the closure is only temporary and they are planning on reopening at a new location on Highway 50 E. in Mound House.
The location, listed as 10025 Highway 50 E., formerly housed the Silver State Saloon and prior to that, the former NV50.
However, it also recently became home to a nightclub called La Casa Blanca, according to an Instagram page for the club. The club held its grand opening June 5 and had an EDM event planned for August 1 at the location.
We’ve reached out to both businesses for clarification on if they are sharing the space, or if La Casa Blanca is moving out, or if Mangia Tutto has chosen a new location altogether. Mangia Tutto’s number is currently out of service.
However, one thing is certain: Mangia Tutto’s eight-year run downtown has officially come to an end. It is not known at this time if another business will be taking its place on Stewart Street or if the location will remain vacant as it is on property slated for the new City Hall and Town Square project, should it be approved by the Carson City Board of Supervisors and Carson City Planning Commission.
We will update with more information about the pizzeria’s future or the future of its now-vacant building as it becomes available.
