Carson City Fire Department and ambulance were called early Tuesday evening to a motor vehicle accident on Highway 50 Spooner west of Carson City.
The crash was reported at around 5:30 p.m. One person reportedly suffered serious injuries. Both Care Flight and Calstar were out of the area and could not respond in a timely manner. The patient will be taken by ground ambulance to the trauma ward of Renown Medical Center in Reno.
Traffic is being re-routed around the crash scene. Motorists can expect delays.
