What do 2,700 hotdogs, 2,800 hotdog buns, 2,700 sodas, 2,000 bottles of water and several hundred pounds of ice look like on paper?

Carson City Sheriff’s Office DARE officer Lisa Davis holds the receipt for these items rung up at Grocery Outlet in preparation of Tuesday’s National Night Out from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Mills Park. Donors and Grocery Outlet have covered the cost of food and refreshments that will be served up free at the 14th annual family event.

National Night Out Carson City brings families and law enforcement agencies together for a community meet and greet celebration and to bring awareness to neighborhood crime fighting. The event brings dozens of public safety organizations, community agencies as well as local enforcement together in one place for food and refreshments, games, information booths, fingerprinting, safety demonstrations and more.
