Fresh off his win at the 2025 Cordillera International Film Festival, local screenwriter Sean Mick is returning to Western Nevada College this fall to teach two new Continuing Education courses in screenwriting.
Sean’s genre‑bending horror‑western BLOOD PACT captured the festival’s Best Genre Feature Screenplay award, earning praise for its bold storytelling and cinematic edge. A produced and award‑winning writer whose work spans action, horror, thriller, and western, he continues to make his mark on the regional film community while helping develop the next generation of storytellers.
This fall, Sean brings that expertise back to WNC with two Tuesday‑evening courses designed for both new and emerging writers:
Screenwriting I: The Nuts and Bolts of Writing for Movies 5:30–7:00 PM
Screenwriting II: Building a Script from the Ground Up 7:15–8:30 PM
Classes run September 8 through December 8, 2026, and are offered through WNC’s Continuing Education program. The fee is $98 per class, including materials. Registration is now open online at the WNC website (Continuing Education → Personal Interest) or by calling 775‑445‑4210.
