The Carson City School District is pleased to announce campus improvements among various schools and campuses throughout the district. All construction either has been completed or is scheduled to be completed by mid-August 2025.

Improvements include upgrades to the Carson High School Band room, new restrooms at Carson Middle School, refurbishing the nearly 50-year-old basketball hoops and new scoreboards and shot clocks in the Morse Burley Gym, paint and new carpet in the NJROTC s and Tech Center buildings at Carson High, new energy-efficient LED lighting at the Jim Frank Sports Complex at Carson High, new heating and air conditioning units and controls at CHS Silver Campus, a new basketball playground at Empire Elementary, parking lot repaving and roof replacement at Fritsch Elementary, new furniture and carpet at Mark Twain Elementary, slurry and seal work on various parking lots throughout the district and much more.

The capital improvements were paid for out of Bond Funds, which can only be used for facility improvements. Because there is such a short window to complete renovation and construction over the summer while students and educators are not occupying the space, the projects began in June and will continue right up until school is scheduled to being again in the fall.
